Terms & Conditions Regarding Cancelations

Due to the challenges of operating during times of Covid, wildfires, adverse weather, and whatever else the Universe has to offer, please note that we give credits in certain situations but DO NOT GIVE REFUNDS FOR ANY REASON. In the event that we have to reschedule or cancel your stay/an event from our end, you will be given full credit towards any future equivalent stay or event. If you have to cancel your visit from your end, then the policy will be determined as follows:

  • Regular group observatory visits (Bishop location): Cancel at least 30 days in advance to receive a full credit for the amount you’ve paid towards another observatory visit. If you have to cancel inside of 30 days for any reason, you will receive a full credit to any of our larger Dark Sky Festivals or Meteor Shower Parties. If you cancel inside of 30 days, we cannot extend your credit towards an observatory stay (Bishop location).

  • Observatory lecture nights (Bishop location): If you have to cancel for any reason, you will receive a full credit towards any of our larger Dark Sky Festivals or Meteor Shower Parties (Panamint Valley or Sage Valley locations).

  • For all of our larger Dark Sky Festivals and Meteor Shower Parties — Now ticket credit insurance is built into every ticket! Please note that all sales are final and no refunds will be given, however, if you can’t attend for any reason - even last minute - you’ll be able to forward the face value of your ticket for a time period of one year to any future Dark Sky Festival or Meteor Shower Party happening at our Panamint Valley, CA or Sage Valley, NV locations (we typically have 3 - 4 events each year). If the event has to be canceled for some crazy reason from our end, your ticket(s) will be credited towards any future Panamint Valley or Sage Valley Dark Sky Festival or Meteor Shower Party with no expiration!

  • Death Valley Starcamp & Starcamp Lecture Nights (Panamint Valley location): In order to keep prices as low as possible, we cannot offer refunds or changes to Death Valley Starcamp or Starcamp Lecture Night reservations, so please make sure your chosen dates work for you before you book. If for some reason the weather doesn’t allow us to use the telescope during your visit to the (which is rare in these parts), you’ll be able to come back and stay again for no charge in our overflow camping area. If the lecture nights have to be canceled for any reason, you will be credited with two tickets to any Panamint Valley or Sage Valley Dark Sky Festival or Meteor Shower Party (which are worth significantly more).
